From Beanie Babies to baseball cards, collecting rare items have been a fascinating phenomena that people have been following for years. In the past few years Pokémon cards have surged in popularity with streamers and collectors trying to obtain the perfect card, and over the last year alone, the most valuable video game has been changing and increasing at a dramatic rate.

Video games reflect the classics. These games are in the original box, mint condition, and still in plastic. In July 2020 a copy of Super Mario Bros. was sold for $114,000, which was the highest a video game sold for at the time. Other Mario games have been sold for more since then. Then on July 9th 2021, The Legend of Zelda was sold for $870,00. That was an 8 times of an increase from Super Mario Bros. of last year. Only 3 days later, Super Mario 64 was sold for an astonishing $1,560,000.

Preserving the history through antiquity. Many of these games represent the history of the video game industry. Heritage Auctions based out of Dallas, Texas has been the main source for all these large sales. Ultimately helping to showcase the importance of video game history.

Google Play Store Sued By 36 States

While the Epic Games vs. Apple lawsuit has been a prime focus, many are now turning towards the lawsuits against the Google Play Store. Attorneys from 36 states, and Washington, D.C., filed antitrust lawsuits against Google Play Store. Many of the lawsuits focus on the additional fees of up to 30%, as well as the claim that Google is a monopoly and using its power to force consumers into paying very unreasonable prices on its devices.

The lawsuits come from states including California, New York, Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Minnesota, and over a dozen others, with the case being filed in the Northern District of California. The official complaint reads that these parties are filing to enjoin Google from "unlawfully restraining trade," "maintaining monopolies" tied to Android apps, and for "payment processing" of Andriod Apps. Essentially, the lawsuit is claiming that Google is becoming a middleman between developers and consumers, and an inescapable one at that. They're also accused of using anticompetitive strategies to guarantee that its app distribution platform is the one that's being used.

Google has refuted by claiming that it does not have that many restrictions as compared to other platforms. However, the lawsuits are all focused directly on Google, so this claim may not be all that useful to their case. We hope to report more on these lawsuits as they develop.

The Sentinels beat XSET in the grand final of VCT: NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 3:1. Previously, XSET had beaten the Sentinels 2:1, so this match retained a sense of revenge. XSET managed to win only three rounds in the first half, but the wins at the start of the second half left XSET hopeful. Luckily, thanks to the excellent play of 'Sick', the Sentinels managed to win the second map, leveling the score in this series.

The third map was played was a leveled bout. None of the teams broke through the score, and both halves ended with the same scores 6:6. During overtime the Sentinels won a round on T Side, and then won the third map with score 14:12. FIFA '22 Releases Official Trailer With New 'HyperMotion Activity' Feature

Source: Steam

Hours before the start of the FIFA Euro Finals, FIFA '22 released its all new official announcement trailer. The trailer focuses mostly on real-world scenes using EA's 'HyperMotion technology'. Essentially, it's a mix between AI machine learning and motion capture imaging from some of the most intense play from the real games. EA’s machine learning algorithm uses over 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture to make new animations in real time. This helped the game to create extremely hyper-realistic football movement for multiple in-game interactions.

Aside from the new HyperMotion feature, EA changed up goalkeepers and added new 'Career Mode' features. Goalkeepers are getting completely redone and are now going to have more individualistic personalities and traits in the game. They're also hoping to make the goalkeepers more realistic in their movements. Career Mode will be getting new Fifa Ultimate Team Heroes, a 'Create A Club' feature, and 'reimagined gameplay'.

The game will be released on October 1st, 2021.  We are quite excited!
