It's the last Monday of April! The month sure flew by, but hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on out. April had lots of fun days and events, such as Earth Day. Of course, that then begs the question: why don't we also celebrate space in April? While we may never find the answer to that question, we can still take some time to appreciate some space themed gaming!
COD: Warzone Experiences Glitches, Allowing Players to Cheat During Gameplay
The new map, Verdansk '84, has been experiencing a lot of glitching since its launch. Unfortunately, many malicious players are taking advantage of this glitch and using it to cheat the game. The glitch allows players to move beneath the map incredibly easily, allowing many players to get through and have easy kills. They are also then able to zipline away, allowing them to quickly move in and out while obtaining the various illegal kills. This cheating hack has raised the question of whether or not it's even worth it to play on the map anymore. There has been a gentle decline in player involvement on the map due to the bug, and rightfully so. The bug makes the game entirely unfair for those who are trying to play the right way, and putting shame to the old saying 'cheaters never win'.
This isn't the first time the game has had issues with cheating. In fact, it's far from it. Some larger gamers, such as MrGolds, were caught cheating in multiple other ways. MrGolds has been known for his constant gloating about his Warzone skills, with such phrases as "Just because I have a good recoil, I'm good at the game. This is the first time you see someone good at the game". The user then continued to open up his task manager on his device, and it showed him having open a program by the name of EngineOwning. The program is notoriously known for having cheats and hacks for different games, with one of them being Call of Duty: Warzone. MrGolds was then called out for it, and was later stripped of his Twitch account. With the development of technology and the rise of user online due to the pandemic, rampant cheating will only continue to grow. While the new map's bug will likely be fixed in the near future, we are wondering if they will ever be able to further secure their games in order to prevent more cheating from occurring. If not, players will likely continue to leave as the game becomes less and less fun due to the rampant cheating.
The Wild Wonders of Outer Space
What lies in the vast, cold unknowns of space? Humans have always wanted to find out, but being an astronaut is no easy feat. That's where games like Outer Wilds come in to simulate the experiences of floating in the great unknown. If you enjoy games like Sea of Thieves but aren't really digging the whole ocean aesthetic, this game may be great alternative. Spend your days searching in an open world platform, where you can discover planets that contain hidden secrets and mysteries waiting to be solved. Each planet will continue to change and evolve as time goes on, allowing you to have a new experience each time you visit. However, it won't be easy to unlock all these hidden secrets, as you'll be facing large weather obstacles and harsh terrain. If you're tired of being stuck inside, grab a copy of Outer Wilds and explore the vast unknown!
Space At Your Fingertips
We do mean that literally. This galaxy themed mousepad from Hellooriday is the perfect touch for a space themed room. It's got a bright, vivid design that's reminiscent of the space beyond. It's also extra long and stretches the length of most standard desks, keeping you from having to constantly adjust the mouse to get it re-centered. If you're looking for a mousepad upgrade that will allow you more space (pun very much intended), we suggest you check this one out here!
